Javier Colon - Okay, Here’s The Truth
My favourite thing that Javier Colon (winner of The Voice) did on the show is actually his audition, which was a lovely acoustic cover of Time After Time. His new album is rather pleasant to listen to - his voice is always beautiful and the whole thing feels pretty genuine, although it all tends to be a tad forgettable. This particular song however is worth a listen, if only because of the lyrics (listen carefully until the end!). I’m not sure what to think, but I can’t help but like the song.

Kinfolk 9 - In The Bleak Midwinter
It’s December! Which means I’m officially allowing myself to listen to Christmas songs. Kinfolk 9 is an a cappella group that appeared on The Sing Off, and although they weren’t my favourite group on the show, the lead singer has a gorgeous i-should-be-singing-heartfelt-indie-rock-songs voice (and apparently that is what he does).

This song from the animated movie Un Monstre à Paris is absolutely lovely. Matthieu and Vanessa are both artists I really enjoy, and I love it when they make music together. The movie looks great, too!

Brigitte are a duo, a blonde and a brunette with exquisite harmonies, retro, fabulous, strange, seductive, and I absolutely love the way their outfits. Cute ending for this video.

Friday is easily my favourite day - I get off work earlier, with the knowledge that there’s still a whole weekend ahead of me.
I also love Bowie’s cover of this song, although it seems to be a controversial opinion.

Sonyae Elise ; ♡
Songwriting competition ‘Platinum Hit’ is the most underrated reality show on TV right now. Yes, I said it. My favourite contestant is Sonyae, who has a talent for catchy R&B hooks and interesting concepts/lyrics.
The song above is from her recently released mixtape Lady Rebel Vol.2 (downloadable on her website), but I have to say I’m particularly fond of the songs she co-wrote on the show:
